Clevis Hanger

The clevis, a three-part fastening system, comprises a U-shaped component, a clevis pin, and a tang. The U-shaped clevis has openings at the ends of its arms to accommodate the clevis pin. In contrast to a fully threaded bolt, the clevis pin is either partially threaded or lacks threads, featuring a cross hole for a split pin. The tang is inserted into the space within the clevis and secured by the clevis pin. Clevises find widespread utilization in diverse sectors such as farming equipment, sailboat rigging, automotive, aircraft, and construction industries. They are also commonly employed in airworthy model aircrafts to affix control surfaces and accessories to servo controls.
